BASEBALL & BASEBALL CARDS

Americans began playing baseball on informal teams, using local rules, in the early 1800s. By the 1860s, the sport, unrivaled in popularity, was being described as America's "national pastime."

In the mid 1980's people would make cabinet cards to display favorite family players and in the late 1860's Peck & Snyder printed the first trade card with a professional player on the front and and advertisement on the back. In the early 1920's Canada started printing the official baseball card, with a player on the front and their stats on the back.

It would be hard to count the number of cards made over the years but

More Sport Memorbilia is happy to say that we have collected

THOUSANDS OF CARDS.
